Abstract

In ischemic stroke, time is brain. This thesis explores innovative and translational AI-based image analysis techniques in cerebral digital subtraction angiography to assist in stroke treatment. The first chapters cover methodological advances that address common challenges in image analysis of cerebral angiography, especially focusing on image registration and segmentation. Subsequent chapters introduce technological innovations for quantitative image analysis, applied to diagnosis, therapeutic decision-making, and prognosis in ischemic stroke interventions. In line with these technological efforts, this thesis take a step further to present corresponding clinical validations, which provide in-depth insights into the clinical value and utility of these techniques in practical settings.
